Temple vandalized in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: A temple was vandalized by a gang of drunks at Gosaildanga in the port city on Saturday night.

Witnesses said some 5/6 drunken youths attacked Gosaildanga Shwashan Kalibari Temple at around 11 pm and damaged idols and other valuables.

Following the incident, Bandar thana OC Rezaul Karim, CMP Deputy Commissioner (Bandar) Kusum Dewan and local ward councilor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury visited the spot.

The OC said, “We are trying to arrest the offenders who are involved in the attack”.

Meanwhile, local people of the Hindu community staged a demonstration and demanded punishment of those involved in the outrageous act.
