Madaripur: Two people were killed in separate road mishaps at Shibchor and Rajoir Thana in the district Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Uzzal Mia, 25, and Jakir Sheikh, 27.

Police and witnesses said banglanews24.com.bd “A bus and an ambulance collided head-on near Pachchor area of Dhaka Khulna highway under Shibchor Thana at around 6 am. The mishap killed the ambulance helper Uzzal Mia instantly.”

On the other hand, a bus of Rupasi Paribahan rammed over a passerby in front of Garurhaat at Tekerhat area under Rajoir Thana at about 10:30am. The victim Jakir Sheikh died on the spot.

Madaripur Thana police said that both the two killer buses were held, but the drivers’ escaped.

Police sent the bodies to morgue for autopsy.
