DHAKA: Rail communications on Dhaka-Chittagong-Sylhet routes resumed at 10:50am Wednesday after two and half-an-hour halt due to derailment.

Second officer of Bhairab Railway Thana Rafiqul Islam Rafiq confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said that the main line was made clear at 10:50am and communications through the routes were normal.

Earlier, five bogies of a container-train derailed in Daulatkandi of Narsingdi at 8:20am halting rail communications on the routes.

Later, rescue train rushed to the spot and made the main line clear.
