Imran Haider has been appointed as Pakistan’s new High Commissioner to Bangladesh on the recommendation of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A higher official from Pakistan Embassy in Dhaka has confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Tuesday (June 17).
Imran Haider is replacing Syed Ahmed Maroof, who returned to Islamabad in May after being called back by Pakistan’s foreign ministry.
The news envoy was previously serving as Pakistan’s envoy to Myanmar.
His appointment comes as part of a routine diplomatic reshuffle.
