Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of Iran has issued a strong warning against Israel following its recent deadly attacks on Iranian soil, calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “wanted war criminal” and a “clever deceiver.”
In a post on social media platform X, Araghchi accused Netanyahu of misleading American presidents for over three decades to push them into wars that serve his own interests.
A press release in this regard was issued by the Iran Embassy in Dhaka on Tuesday (June 17).
Accordign to press release, Araghchi wrote, “It is clear that the cowardly attack on Iran was aimed at sabotaging the ongoing diplomatic process between Tehran and Washington, which was moving in the right direction.”
He said hundreds of innocent civilians, including women and children, were killed in the attacks. Netanyahu, he claimed, is once again trying to deceive the American president and taxpayers.
“Our powerful armed forces will show the world that the war criminals hiding in Tel Aviv’s bunkers will face consequences,” Araghchi stated. “We will continue to suppress these cowards for as long as necessary, so they no longer dare to target our people.”
He urged the United States to play a constructive role in ending the war, saying, “If President Trump truly believes in diplomacy and wants to stop this war, the next steps will be crucial. Israel must stop its aggression. Until the military aggression ends, our response will not stop.”
Araghchi added, “Just one phone call from Washington could stop Netanyahu and reopen the path to diplomacy.”
He clarified that Iran did not start the war and has no interest in continuing the bloodshed, but vowed that the country will proudly defend its homeland, people, dignity and achievements “until the last drop of blood.”
