The government has officially published the gazette of the 'July Mass Uprising Martyrs' Families and Injured Students-Citizens Welfare and Rehabilitation Ordinance, 2025'.

The Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division under the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued the gazette on Tuesday night.

The ordinance aims to uphold the spirit and ideology of the historic July Mass Uprising in national life. It also focuses on the welfare and rehabilitation of the families of the martyrs, injured students and citizens, referred to as 'July Joddha'.

Besides, it seeks to preserve and honor the memory and history of the July Uprising, which holds significant importance in the country’s democratic and political struggle.

According to the gazette, the ordinance has come into immediate effect.
