The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am Saturday (June 21).

According to the daily weather bulletin issued in the morning, such weather is likely at most places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and at many places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, and Barishal divisions. Some areas may also experience moderately heavy to heavy rainfall.

On Friday, the country’s highest temperature was recorded at 33.2°C in Nikli under Dhaka division, while the lowest was 24.0°C in Bandarban, Chattogram division.

In Dhaka, sunset is expected at 6:49 pm on Saturday, with sunrise on Sunday at 5:12 am.
