46 Bangladeshis return serving Indian jail

BENAPOLE, JESSORE: Some 46 Bangladeshis including women and children returned here on Sunday night after serving 3-year in Dum Dum Central Jail of Kolkata in India.

Border Security Force (BSF) and India police members opened the barbed wire fence and sent them to Bangladesh.

Later in the night, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel detained them on allegation of illegal entrance and handed them over to police of Benapole Port Thana.

Officer-in-Charge of Benapole Port Thana Mizanur Rahman told banglanews that at around 11:30pm, BGB personnel handed over to them 46 persons including women and children who were held on allegation of intruding.

Camp Commander of Benapole Check-post Nayeb Subedar Abdul Mannan told banglanews that the detained people were handed over to the port thana police in night.

On Monday noon, the detained would be sent to Jessore Court.
