SIRAJGANJ: Two people went missing in Jamuna River as a sand laden boat capsized on Monday morning.

The missing duo was identified as Liton 25 and Sohel 29. They are workers by profession.

Sources said 18 workers were going to Hardpoint by a sand laden boat around 10:00am. On the way the boat capsized due to heavy tidal surges.

However, 16 workers were able to reach the river bank by swimming while two others went missing.

Sirajganj Water Development Board Executive Engineer Babul Chandra Sheel confirmed the matter to banglanews.
