DHAKA: Former Bangladesh ambassador to Vietnam Maroof Zaman reportedly went missing on Monday evening (December 4).

His daughter Samiha Zaman filed a General Diary (GD) with Dhanmondi Police Station.

Quoting the GD, Dhanmondi Zone Assistant Commissioner (AC) Abdullahil Kafi told Banglanews that Maruf left his Dhanmondi home to receive his daughter from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, at around 5:30pm.

He didn’t go the airport and remains traceless since then, said the AC.

The car he left his home with was found in Khilkhet area.

Police are trying to trace him, the AC added.
