DHAKA: The education ministry has shelved the ‘Qawmi Madrasa Shikkha law 2013’ in a bid to further correction.

The ministry has withdrawn the law from the agenda in the Cabinet meeting on Monday.

Cabinet Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan told journalists that the ministry withdrew the draft act from the agenda for further correction and scrutiny.

Earlier on Friday, Hefazat chief Allama Shafi warned the government of taking stern action if it passes the law.
