DHAKA: Country’s largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group has donated land to Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party (Ansar-VDP) for constructing their office complex.
Top officials of the Ansar-VDP received documents of 82.5 decimals of land from the Group at a ceremony held at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarters-1 in the capital on Monday.
An office complex of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP will be constructed on the land located in Bashundhara Residential Area, sources said.
Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, Vice-Chairmen Shafiat Sobhan Sanvir and Safwan Sobhan Tasvir and Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir were present on the occasion.
Additional Director General (ADG) of the force Brigadier General AKM Asif Iqbal, ADG Firoz Khan and some of senior officers attended the land receiving ceremony.
The Bashundhara Group also exchanged two plots worth 66 and 16.50 decimals of land with Ansar and VDP. These lands will be used for forces’ residential and other purposes.
The land donation is a token of contribution of Bashundhara Group to the forces who are working relentlessly to ensure safety and security of the people.
