NOAKHALI: A Bangladeshi businessman was killed as some unidentified assailants stabbed him fiercely in Johannesburg of South Africa Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Morshed Alam, 30, hailed from Narottampur union at Begumganj upazila of the district.

Family sources said a gang of unidentified assailants suddenly swooped on Morshed’s shop and asked him to give money but while he refused them they started stabbing on him indiscriminately and leaving him dead on the spot.

Morshed went to South Africa one year ago.

Narotttam union parishad Chairman Kabir Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews24.com.
