Train operations between Bangladesh and India will remain close for nine days following the Eid-ul-Azha.

Mitali Express on the Dhaka-New Jalpaiguri route will remain closed from July 6 to July 14, Bandhan Express from Dhaka to Khulna route, and Maitree Express on the Dhaka-Kolkata route will remain shut from July 7 to July 14.

According to sources at Bangladesh Railways said this on Sunday (June 19). The train communications between both countries will resume after Eid.  

On May 29, after long two years, Maitree Express and Bandhan Express began operations. The new train service Mitali Express started its journey on June 1.
