Harun or Rashid was made chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).  

An order signed by DMP commissioner Md. Shafiqul Islam was issued in this connection on July 13 (Wednesday).     

Harun has replaced AKM Hafiz Akhter in the DB.
A few days back Harun was transferred as additional commissioner of the DMP.  

This police officer was posted in the DB as joint commissioner in May last year.  

Earlier, he served as the deputy commissioner in Tejgaon division of the DMP and superintendent of police (SP) of Narayanganj and Gazipur.
