Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today (May 10) refused to comment on former Gazipur City mayor Jahangir Alam.

Obaidul Quader also the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges also said that refraining Jahangir is also against the conduct of the Election Commission.

He was addressing to reporters after a programme held at a hotel in the capital.

The minister while answering to a question said, "As far as I know, Jahangir's mother Zaida Khatun was never a part of Awami League's politics.

"I know Jahangir used to be part of Awami League (AL), and had become mayor under boat flag. I will not make any comment now until the party takes a decision in this regard, added the minister.
