Khoka on 2-day remand

DHAKA: A Dhaka on Thursday court granted BNP Vice-Chairman Sadek Hossain Khoka on a two-day remand in a case of Shahbagh Thana.

Metropolitan Magistrate MA Salam passed the remand order in the afternoon.

Earlier Opposition Sadek Hossain Khoka was handed over to Detective Branch (DB) of Police after he was shown arrested in a case filed under explosive act in the noon.

He was taken to DB office around 1:30pm for interrogation.

Later at around 3:45pm, he was produced before the court with 20-day remand plea in two cases with Ramna and Shahbagh Thana in explosive act.

On Wednesday, Khoka, also the convener of city BNP, was arrested from city’s Uttara area.

Sources said Khoka was accused in several cases filed with Shahabagh, Ramna, Paltan and Motijheel Thanas.
