Leaders and activists of the BNP started gathering in front of the party's Nayapaltan office ahead of the grand rally on Friday (July 28).

The grand rally is scheduled to begin at 2pm. 

BNP sources said the party will start the rally after Friday prayers.

According to media report, supporters started gathering in the early hours.

Meanwhile, the ruling Awami League's associate organisations Jubo League, Swechchhasebak League and Chhatra League, will hold "peace rally" at the Baitul Mukarram's South Gate today. The rally is scheduled to begin at 3pm.

Earlier, BNP announced the grand rally on July 22. The rally was primarily scheduled to take place on Thursday (July 27). 

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has given permission to both the Awami League (AL) and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to hold their rallies at their preferred locations subject to 23 conditions.
