At least 100 BNP leaders and activists have reportedly been injured in clashes with police Habiganj during BNP's road march demanding unconditional release of party chief Khaleda Zia and her advanced treatment abroad.

Some of the injured were admitted to different hospitals in Habiganj. 

According to eyewitnesses, BNP leaders and activists locked in clashes with the police in Shaistanagar area of Habiganj on Saturday (August 19) afternoon. 

Late, police used hundreds of tear shells and rubber bullets to bring the situation under control.

Ajay Chandra Dev, OC of Habiganj Sadar Police Station, and other police officials were injured in the clashes.
