Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and other like-minded opposition parties will bring out mass processions with black flags in the capital today (Friday).

BNP’s Dhaka city south and north units will hold black flag processions separately in Dhaka city at 3pm to press home their one-point demand for resignation of the ruling government and handing over power to an election-time government.

Later on Saturday, a similar programme will be held in all metropolitan cities to press home the one-point demand.

BNP’s Dhaka city south unit will take out the procession from Nayapaltan and end it at Dayaganj. BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas will address the gathering before the start of the mass procession.

Dhaka’s north city unit BNP will start a procession from the Shyamali Ring Road area and end it at Mohammadpur bus station.

BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury will address the party activists before the start of the procession.
