A Dhaka court on Sunday (September 10) ordered to send BNP leader Aman Ullah Aman to jail in a graft case rejecting his bail plea.

Dhaka Special Judges Court-1 Judge Abul Kashem passed the order when Aman surrendered before court at 12:30 pm.

Aman's lawyer Sayed Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter.

Meanwhile, centring Aman's surrender, BNP lawyers and supporters took position on the court premises from the morning.

To avert any untoward situation, additional number of police personnel have been deployed in and around the court.

Earlier on September 5, Aman's wife Sabera Aman surrendered before Justice M Enayetur Rahim, Chamber judge of the Appellate Division, in a case filed over acquiring wealth beyond known income source. Later the judge granted her bail and set January 15 for next hearing.
