Law minister Anisul Huq said there is only one way for BNP chairman Khaleda Zia to go abroad for treatment.

In this regard, she (Khaleda Zia) must seek presidential clemency acknowledging her crimes and request pardon from the president, the minister also said.

He was addressing a press conference at the law ministry in the capital on Wednesday (Oct 4).

Anisul Huq said, “I do not wish to suggest anything regarding BNP chairperson to His Excellency the President. What I am talking about is the provision of the law.”

Prime Minister already exercised executive power and there is no chance to reopen the law, he added.
