GAZIPUR: Law enforcers, in 24-hour drives, nabbed 130 people from different upazilas of district apprehending the deterioration of law and order situation.

The identity of the detainees could not be disclosed but most of them are leaders and activists of opposition party.

District police control room sources told banglanews that the detainees were accused in different cases.

On the other hand, as per pre-declaration, army personnel were seen patrolling in the metropolis from Wednesday night. They will be discharging duties as striking force and provide help to civil administration.
