RANGPUR: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday said her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy would serve the people of Rangpur after parliamentary election.

“I will send Joy at Pirganj for serving you after the parliamentary elections,” she said.

The ruling Awami League president came up with the assertion while addressing a wayside rally at Tarafmouja High School ground of Tukuria union here on Tuesday noon.

Sheikh Hasina told her audience: “BNP-Jamaat alliance is incurring a loss to poor people by enforcing hartal and blockade. It announced war against poor people and this is the politics of them.”  

The premier said, “We are punishing war criminals who committed crimes in 1971 Liberation War. We have already executed one and rests will be executed very soon. Khaleda can not save them.”

She claimed Awami League government conducts development works for the country. “We formed Rangpur division and developed in many sectors in the division,” he said.
