DHAKA: Joint general secretary of ruling Awami League Jahangir Kabir Nanak alleged that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was befogging the people with newly concocted lies.

He came up with the allegation in a press briefing at the party president’s Dhanmondi political office on Friday noon.

Nanak said, “BNP has taken recourse to bad politics as they have become isolated from the people for not participating in January 5 general elections.

We expected her to realize the mistakes she made and ask forgiveness to the countrymen, he added.

AL Leader also said that they would not endure any anarchy in the name of political movements.

AL leader Abdul Mannan Khan, Abdus Sobhan Golap and Mrinal Kanti Das among others were present in the conference.
