DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday rejected the bail plea of BNP vice-chairperson Sadek Hossain Khoka in hartal and blockade violence cases.

Metropolitan Sessions Judge M Zahirul Haque passed the order after hearing on a bail petition submitted by the lawyer of the BNP leader.

On December 4, the BNP leader was arrested and placed on a two-day remand in a case filed with Paltan and Shahbagh Thanas to a bus that killed four people and injured 15 others.

Khoka was also shown arrested in another case filed with Ramna Police Station for setting a bus afire at Malibagh in the city.
