DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday rejected the remand and bail pleas for Bar Council vice-chairman Khandaker Mahbub in a case filed with Ramna Thana.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim passed the order in a case filed on charge of obstructing police from discharging government duties after hearing on a 7-day remand plea by DB police Inspector Fazlur Rahman on January 22.
He also denied the bail plea by Mahbub’s lawyer.
Law enforcers arrested Mahbub from the National Press Club on January 7.
