SATKHIRA: A leader of Juba League, the youth wing of BNP, received bullet injury in a clash with joint forces at Ramchandrapur under Sadar Upazila of the district on Wednesday noon.

The victim is- Ziaul Islam Zia, 38, Sadar Upazila Juba Dal Joint Secretary.

Sources said that a team of joint forces went the area to detain an accused at around 12:30pm. Sensing their presence, BNP-Jamaat-Shibir men attacked them with hurling brick-chips, cocktails and opening fire.

Later, in reply, joint forces also fired back, leaving Juba Dal leader injured.

Satkhira Thana Officer-in-Charge confirmed the matter to banglanews.
