Farhad Hossain, former public administration minister and former member of parliament for Meherpur-1, was arrested.

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion arrested him from the Iskaton area of the capital on Saturday night (Sept 14).

RAB Legal and Media Wing Assistant Director ANM Emran Khan confirmed the matter.

Farhad Hossain was arrested by RAB and later handed over to Adabar police station, he added. 

A case was filed against him on August 5 in connection with the shooting and killing of students and the general public during an anti-discrimination student movement.
