Pakistan PM Shehbaz sends letter to Khaleda Zia

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has sent a letter to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, wishing her good health and recovery.

BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter on Sunday (Feb 2), saying that the letter was delivered to the BNP chief’s office from the Pakistan Embassy in the afternoon.

In the letter, Shehbaz Sharif expressed concern over Khaleda Zia’s health and prayed for her well-being, hoping that Almighty Allah grants her good health.

He also assured that Pakistan stands with her, her family, and BNP supporters.

Highlighting her political career, Shehbaz wrote that Khaleda Zia is a significant figure in Bangladesh’s political landscape, and her dedication to public service remains an inspiration to many.

Khaleda Zia is currently in the United Kingdom for advanced medical treatment.

She left Dhaka on January 7 in a special air ambulance sent by the Emir of Qatar. After initial treatment at a London clinic, she is now staying at the residence of her eldest son, BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman, in the United States.

The BNP chief has been suffering from diabetes, arthritis, and heart disease, along with complications related to her lungs, liver, and kidneys.
