The National Citizen Party (NCP) will submit its initial reform proposal to the National Consensus Commission on Sunday.
The proposal includes lowering the voting age to 16 and setting the minimum age for parliamentary candidates at 23.
At a press conference today, NCP Joint Convener Sarwar Tushar explained that the party believes the voting age should be 16.
Currently, the minimum age for parliamentary candidates is 25, but the NCP suggests reducing it to 23, compared to the Constitutional Reform Commission's recommendation of 21.
