A Dhaka court today showed former state minister Kamal Ahmed Mojumder arrested in an arms case filed with Banani Police Station. He was produced before the court, which then ordered his return to jail.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ziadur Rahman passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to show him arrested in the case. The court also sent him back to jail.

The case, filed on May 22, 2025, accuses Kamal of illegally possessing two firearms despite government orders to surrender them. He was arrested from his Gulshan residence on October 18, 2024.
