Police today arrested former Awami League organizing secretary and ex-lawmaker from Shariatpur-1 constituency BM Mozammel Haque from the capital’s Niketon area.
A team of the Detective Branch (DB) detained Mozammel around 2:45 pm, said Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of DB, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
He said Mozammel has been accused in four cases, including three murder cases linked to the July Uprising.
