Two former AL MPs arrested

Police have arrested two former members of parliament from the now-banned Awami League.

The detainees are Fayzur Rahman, former MP of Brahmanbaria-5, and Tamanna Nusrat Bubly, who held a reserved women’s seat.

Deputy Commissioner Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter to the media today.

Police did not immediately provide details on the time, location, or charges related to the arrests.
