DHAKA: Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya MP Friday categorically said that no member of his family was connected with the sensational seven-murder of Narayanganj.
There were not even any business dealings with the slain persons, he added.
He claimed this in a press briefing in the afternoon.
Maya also said, “Various media have been publishing news items about imaginary connections my family members with the incident which is a defamation of my family.”
“I have taken the vow of silence so that the investigation can go on without any influence,” minister added.
Incumbent AL lawmaker also expressed his condolences to the grief stricken families and hoped the law enforcers would find out the truth.
On April 27, seven people including Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam and lawyer Chandan Sarkar were abducted from Narayanganj city.
