DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will form a three-member investigation committee headed by a former justice to probe into the Narayanjang abduction-killing of seven persons.
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the disclosure while talking to journalists at the shrine of founder of the party Ziaur Rahman in the capital on Sunday.
He also criticized the political practice of ruling Awami League and saying that Sheikh Hasina intentionally declared a program on May 14 in Narayanganj when Khaleda Zia was scheduled to visit the families and relatives of the victims.
He also asserted that law enforcers are not performed their duties properly. The government is misusing the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), he alleged.
Swechhasebak Dal President Habib-un-Nabi Khan sohel, General Secretary Sarfat Ali Sapu along with other leaders and activists of the party were present on the occasion.
