Govt patronizes godfathers, says Fakhrul

FENI: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday alleged that the government is pat supporting the godfathers.

The spokesperson for the party made the allegation while attending a program to distribute iftar goods in Munshirhat Bazar at Fulgazi upazila of the district.

He said, “Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) became controversial over the relation to Narayanganj Seven-Murder Case.”

Fakhrul also alleged that the elite force has become a heinous threat to people of the country. “So, new forces should be established dismantling the RAB,” he said.

“The government has been running the tenure of murder and kidnapping across the country. They are also harassing the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami leaders with false cases to douse the movement against government,” he added.

Regarding the incident of Upazila Parishad Chairman and Awami League leader Ekramul murder, Fakhrul said not only in Feni these sorts of barbarous killings are being happened across the country.

Upazila BNP president Shajahan Majumder chaired the program, attended by BNP central joint secretary general M Shahjahan and Barkat Ullah Bulu.

BNP students affairs secretary Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Anne, executive committee member Professor Joynal Abedin, central Mahila Dal leader Rehana Aktar Ranu, district BNP acting president Advocate Abu Taher and its general secretary Zia Uddin Mister were among others present on the occasion.
