DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained a total of 14 people, including three members of Hizb ut-Tahrir, during separate drives across the capital.
Of the detainees, 10 are the activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), three are the members of Hizb ut-Tahrir and one Jamaat-e-Islami activist.
Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the matter to banglanews.
They were detained between Friday morning and Saturday morning for their alleged connection in sabotages, he added.
