BHOLA: The Detective Branch (DB) of police personnel, in a drive, recovered 11 petrol bombs from Panchtahabil road area of the town on Friday.

Assistant Superintendent (ASP) of Bhola Police Ramananda Sarkar said, acting on a tip-off, the DB police conducted a drive in the area around 5:30pm and recovered the petrol bombs from a drain in abandoned condition.

The law enforcers suspected that the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami men gathered the petrol bombs to create sabotage during countrywide hartal and blockade.

“The DB police are trying to hold the saboteurs,” he added.
