SIRAJGANJ: Jamaat-e-Islami on Friday called a dawn-to-dusk hartal in the district for Sunday in protest of sending Sirajganj municipality Jamaat Ameer Shahidul Islam to jail.
District Jamaat secretary Zahidul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Earlier in the evening, Sirajganj Judicial Magistrate Rubina Parvin sent Shahidul Islam to jail when he was produced before her court.
On February 12, DB police detained Shahidul Islam from Chandidasgati bazaar area of Sairajganj-Bogra highway.
