DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained 12 suspected anarchists during separate anti-sabotage drives in the city in last 24 hours till Friday morning.
Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media and public relations) of DMP, confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Of the detainees, 11 are the leaders-activists of BNP and the rest is an activist of Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Legal action will be taken against the detainees, the DC added.
