DHAKA: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) will form human chain and stage protest program in all educational institutions across the country on Saturday.
BCL president HM Badiuzzaman Sohag declared the program at a human chain in front of city’s National Press Club on Friday.
They will hold the program protesting the attempt to kill Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) adviser to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
BCL general secretary Siddiqui Nazmul Alam presided over the program where Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan, Awami League (AL) joint general secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak, among others, also spoke.
The speakers also demanded arrest of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and urged the government to bring BNP senior vice Chairman Tarique Rahman back to home to face trial.
