DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained four members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) with Arges grenade, huge hand bombs, petrol bombs and huge amount of bomb making materials in city’s Uttara area early Friday.

Details of the detainees could not be known.

RAB deputy director (legal and media wing) Major Rumman Mahmud confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Rumman said tipped-off, a RAB team raided in Prembagan Kasaibazar area of North Mollartek in Uttara around 2:00am and nabbed the JMB men.

RAB also recovered an Arges grenade, 28 hand bombs, 12 petrol bombs, large amount of jihadi books and bomb making materials including sulfur, plastic explosives, and power gel there, he added.
