DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on three-day remand in a vandalism and arson case filed with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station on city.
Metropolitan magistrate Mostafizur Rahman passed the remand order when the investigation officer (IO) of the case Mirpur Thana sub-inspector Makariar Das produced Rizvi before the court with a 5-day remand plea.
In the night of January 30, RAB members detained Rizvi from Baridhara area in city.
Later, police took the BNP leader on remand for 27 days in eight phases since February 1 in several cases.
Rizvi was in the prison after the completion of remand days.
