2 held with petrol bombs in city

DHAKA: Police detained 2 young persons with six petrol bombs in city’s Shanirakhra area on Sunday evening.

The detainees are identified as Nuruddin and Sifat.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Jartabari Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abani Shangkar Kar said that the detainees were planning to create violence during Jamaat-called hartal on Monday.

On a tip-off, police conducted drives and nabbed the duo with firebombs, he added.
