DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL)-backed Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayoral candidate Anisul Huq promised to buildup more green spaces in city if he wins the election.
The former business leader made the promise while conducting a poll campaign under the title of ‘Healthy Dhaka’ in city’s Mirpur area on Thursday morning.
AL joint secretary and also former foreign minister Dr Dipu Moni, local MP Ilias Uddin Mollah, Dhaka North Juba League president Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, media personality Abdun Noor Tushar, actor Bandhan, Anisul’s wife and also Mohammadi Group managing director Rubana Huq, among others, were present at the campaign.
According to the mayoral candidate, there are many opportunities to develop the city.
He said, ‘It is possible to reduce at least 5 degree of heat in city by three years by planting trees. We do not need money for this, we need initiatives’.
Let’s move forward to build a green and clean city together, the contender urged all.
Anisul also urged the media to give equal coverage to all polls contenders so that voters can decide to choose their next mayor.
