DHAKA: BNP wants 101 lawyers of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) to observe the city corporation elections.

The BNP delegation made the demand to chief election commissioner Kazi Rakib Uddin Ahmed after the meeting in Election Commission (EC) Monday noon.

The delegation also submitted the list of observers to EC secretary Sirajul Islam.

BNP joint secretary general and SCBA general secretary Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon told this to media after the meeting.

He said, ‘We earlier served as observers in national election and city corporation election’.

Earlier, the delegation reached EC around 1:35pm.
