SATKHIRA: Police arrested at least 54 persons including five BNP-Jamaat men in overnight drives in Satkhira.

The drives were conducted from Tuesday midnight to Wednesday 10:30am in different parts of the district.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Satkhira district police special branch inspector Emdad Hossain said that the arrestees are accused in different cases including creating violence.

Among the arrestees, two were from BNP and three from Jamaat, he added.
