DHAKA: Family members of BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed, who is currently undergoing treatment at Shillong civil hospital in Indian state of Meghalaya, are waiting to get their Visas to meet him there.

In the meantime, BNP’s assistant office secretary Abdul Latif Jony has already reached Shillong.

Salahuddin’s family members and party sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Party sources said the BNP leader’s wife Hasina Ahmed applied for Indian visa to High Commission of India in Bangladesh on Tuesday (May 12) but did not get it till Thursday afternoon.

BNP standing committee member Dr Abdul Moin Khan was acting as mediator between Salahuddin’s family and the Indian High Commission.
