Barrister Iqbal made Islamic Party chief

DHAKA: Barrister Sayedul Hasan Iqbal was appointed as new chairman of Bangladesh Islamic Party, an ally of BNP-led 20-party alliance.

The matter was disclosed through a press release, signed by party organising secretary Muhammad Mahmudul Hasan, on Monday.

The release said Hasan Iqbal was appointed in place of deceased chairman of the party Advocate Abdul Mobin in an extended meeting chaired by senior vice-chairman of the party M Entaj Hossain.
